This sliding scale survey was inspired by the work done by HD at Ride Free Fearless Money. I considered using the narrative approach in the survey, but after realizing it would be difficult to translate the tier reliably into a scale factor for a price, I decided to go as directly as possible to a quantitative assessment. To do so I referenced the data on net worth and income compiled and presented by PK at DQYDJ to create some JS arrays. Thanks to the help of folks who maintain the SurveyJS library, an unparalleled open-source survey library written in Javascript, I was able to develop a survey with a lot of custom logic generated with the help of R, and some custom Javascript to handle the survey results message.

Here hopes that this tool proves useful to you in self-evaluating where you land on a sliding scale.

About the author:

An innovative and unconventional thinker with a penchant for pursuing ideas from conception to creation. Inspired most by ethical and virtuous action, Stephen seeks companies and collaborators that contribute to a higher creative potential for humanity - one that nourishes peace among peoples, harmony with natural systems, and well-being above profit. I thrive when business is in service of sustaining life, be it by developing systems that support social equity, engineering technologies that liberate the spirit of life, nurturing the highest potential in those who aspire, or lending support in the amelioration of suffering.
