Welcome to Harvest!

An opportunity to build community through meditation, movement, story and snacks

“If we have no peace, it’s because we’ve forgotten that we belong to each other.”

  – Mother Teresa

Anyone who listens deeply can sense the undercurrents of pain beneath the deluge of distractions in today’s world. People report feeling alone despite the constant stream of social media updates vying for our attention; and we feel disempowered by the endless, algorithmically stoked, shock content dominating our news feeds.  Equally, the sense of fellowship fades as we drift further from direct engagement with family and friends, straining our need for intimacy and heartfelt connection.

Harvest is a coming together of hearts and like-minds with the intention to delve inward and develop a direct connection to oneself, each other, nature, and the divine — and to share that spark through storytelling, skill exchange, talents and wisdom teachings. Harvest is a place of solace and understanding where our collective intelligence and innate interdependence can emerge; and become a balm for the isolation of modern life.

Harvest is united by a shared belief that in showing up for each other, committing to psychospiritual growth, and honestly addressing the challenges created by our collective shadow, we can find solidarity in our common humanity and greater purpose. We will have different themes that will inspire the meetings for a period of time such that we can chart our path together.

Harvest will convene every Thursday from 7:30-9p starting on August 21st for our local, and online community with snacks available starting at 7p for those mingling while we setup.  Stay tuned to our Facebook, Instagram and website for updates

Each in-person Harvest will be preceded, starting at 7p, with an opportunity for local folks to share yummy snacks and socialize. Each session will formally begin with a guided meditation, yoga and/or breathing practice, artistic inquiry or other form of movement to awaken the mind and body (30m). Then, Harvest members can volunteer to share a personal story, teaching, artistic expression, etc… related to the week’s topic (~30m), followed by a full group discussion or activity (~30m). We hope this format provides an opportunity to experience our shared humanity, with all of its difficulties and delights.

Let the Harvest begin!
