Healing Inner and Outer Worlds
April 22 @ 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm
The world is as uncertain as ever, and we’re swimming in an ocean of information overload.
Join us in community as we cultivate the ability to move through the metacrisis calmly, with resilience and creativity.
This 8-class immersion, drawing upon Joanna Macy’s Work That Reconnects (WTR) framework and the “Bend Not Break” series of episodes in The Great Simplification podcast, is designed to guide participants through a transformative process of emotional and intellectual engagement with the current global crisis. The intent is to move beyond passive consumption of challenging information toward informed, values-driven action. The course trajectory follows the WTR spiral: starting with Coming from Gratitude, moving into Honoring our Pain for the World by confronting systemic issues and their personal impact, then Seeing with New Eyes through idea generation and long-term thinking, and finally, planning for Going Forth with refined, resilient action.

The course aims to create a supportive group environment for synthesizing complex and challenging content from the podcast, processing the associated emotional landscape, and developing personal and collective responses. It integrates deep listening, self-inquiry, and insight dialogue over a period of two months (based on weekly, ninety minute sessions) to foster interior transformation alongside practical understanding, thereby aligning individual actions with deeply held values for a sustainable future.
